More than a decade ago when we first met, I knew in my heart that Joanna Zhou will be unstoppable in the things that she does. She has very high EQ, a nature leader in mobilising people into effective actions and a warmth personality. It took us many years before we meet again and lord behold, I am so right about her.
She led her team in Holland & Barrett (a >150 years old company) to open the China Market from zero to a very successful business within a few short years. A remarkable achievement and yet not surprising one to me.
I feel such deep privilege to be at the front row seat to see the potentials in my students and then having their permission to witness their growth through the years specially for Joanna.
It is such a joy that my students will share a piece of their life with me. Even when we do not meet for many years, we can still feel the bonding.
This is why I love being a teacher.
Not for what I teach to them or what my students learn but the privilege to see their growth over the years.
