Have a blast conducting a specially customized industry engagement keynote speech for ITE Workplace Learning Division to their 40 partners’ companies.
The first 2-hour session in late 2022 on “How do you solve the Pertinent Problem of Losing Talents to the market” was offered only to 20 companies and the slots were snatched up almost immediately. More than 40 senior HR and L&D leaders and even C-suite attended the well received session. The post session evaluation score was all near perfect score with many clear endorsement of the huge values the session had offered to the participants.
We decided to do it again in 2023 for another 20 companies or more than 40 senior leaders and it was snatched up just as quickly. During the 2-hour, we discussed challenges faced by various companies in retaining talents and exchanged many great insights though a series of specially designed interactive activities.
In my sharing of a possible solution, I argued the needs to think in systems when solving a structured talent management problem and presented a reinforcing solution that consists of a well design induction programme and mentoring programme that was developed from the insights gained from my extensive experiences as a senior leader and also my volunteering works in diverse industry especially as an executive committee member of Tech Talent Assembly (www.ttab.org.sg).
As a strong advocate of systems thinking as a future-ready skill for leaders, it was heart warmed to hear comments from the participants on how can their leaders be equipped with the skills of thinking in systems when solving a complex problem like talent management. It is a testament that my presentation has evoked awareness of such skill needs in the future for their company. It is such coddiwompling experience from these 2 sessions that make me fall in love with my current work as an entrepreneur.
If you are interested to learn more on how to solve structured problems you face in your life and work using a systems approach, feel free to reach out to me. I would be privileged to be given a chance to help.
My coddiwompling life journey continues …
