Here is one example of an interview that our founder, Dr Jenson did for Excellence Talks, a highly popular social media site that talks about how to strive towards excellence: “What makes IT so powerful in transforming organizations?” in 2021 while he was still Chief Information and Learning Officer with Monde Nissin Corporation.

Jenson is a person who seeks to improve his knowledge continuously and then use his skills to improve the community and society at large. He excelled both as a student and a teacher and he has helped many with his courses on system thinking. I don’t know what new knowledge he has acquired since the last I saw him but I am always ready to be amazed.

“Dedicated and inspiring educator” comes to mind when I think of Jenson. I had the honour to get to know Jenson through the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® community, and collaborated on one of the People’s Association’s programmes on 2 occasions to engage Singapore’s youths into envisioning for the annual SG75 competition. Jenson’s inspiring personality, abilities, and drive were nothing that I have ever experienced. His dedication as an educator to bring Singapore’s youths to dare to dream and explore showed how he was able to impact his students and the people he has worked and is working with. However, his dedication did not end there, he went on to continue the impact in the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® community, sharing experiences as he went. As a fellow facilitator and adult educator, Jenson is a jewel to the education sector.

Jenson participated in my dept’s Innovation & Quality (IQ) projects programme. He is a very knowledgeable and diligent co-worker in his team. He demonstrated high professionalism in NUS. His project skill has won him several team awards and he has led by example.
His last project with my dept on Enterprise Architecture (EA) is very interesting and proven a good project.
I have several time saw him motivating and sharing with his team. Overall I do see him as a good leader and mentor.
He was nominated and awarded Quality Service Award in 2007 for his contributions and professionalism

Jenson is one of the best lecturer, programme designer and colleague I have known. He is person full of enthusiasm and positivity, very knowledgeable, always encouraging and approachable. It has been a great experience working with Jenson on the project with TETA South Africa. During which, Jenson has displayed high level of effective teaching, management skills and resourcefulness, which are all exemplary to learn from.

Jenson and I cross-paths once or twice during his time here in UniSIM. Each time it did, I was impressed by the drive he had for the matter at hand: things were not something that could be settled by the mantra “just do it”. For Jenson – it was always – what is best for the student. Definitely one colleague passionate about his students!

Jenson is a passionate teacher with a kind and generous heart. He goes over and above to do his best and can always be relied upon to support and help. He ensures that what he delivers is of the highest quality and his drive and passion to make a positive impact on all that he comes into contact with is extremely inspiring.

Jenson is an exemplary professional. He is genuinely focused on finding ways to develop innovative learning for his students to ensure that they maximise their potential. As a colleague, Jenson’s willingness to collaborate and share best practices is inspiring. His circle of influence is ever-expanding, built on trust and expertise.

Its such a pleasure to know Jenson and work with him for a period in NUS. We rarely find people like Jenson in any organisation. He is so passionate about quality and improvement, coaching and developing people and teams – which can be easily evidenced from the long list of projects he and his teams completed in NUS. He is very pleasant to work with, very knowledgeable, experienced but humble. I believe Jenson would play a bigger part to influence more students and others in his current role as a lecturer in SIM.
