I have known Jenson since I joined NUS in 2017. He is a fantastic buddy and mentor one can expect in a work place. The characteristic to learn from Jenson is his ability to turn even day-to-day routine work into something creative and fun, I admire this ability to innovate. He is a buddy and a teacher who is caring and always there for his colleagues and students alike.

Jenson moved from Information Technology as a profession to a teacher and skillfully connects both worlds through classroom practices and consulting. His projects on Lego Serious Play (LSP) are a huge success both in the corporate world and education in different levels (e.g. ranging from UG to continued education programs).

Jenson motivates his colleagues for scholarship in learning and teaching and I look forward to keeping in touch with him and wish all the best for all hisfuture endeavors.

Jenson is an excellent lecturer, facilitator and dedicated educator who never ceases to inspire and motivate his students. I have had the pleasure of being in one of his Lego Serious Play class, where his diverse past experiences and knowledge in facilitating and directing made the sessions fun and enjoyable, as well as an enriching one. Even with his extensive experiences, he never fails to continually seek ways to improve his work, to ensure what his students learn and gain is maximised. Being approachable and engaging, our interactions extend far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. I am glad for the opportunity to have had Jenson as a lecturer and privileged to call him a friend.

Dr Jenson is a very focused person who set himself very clearly defined objectives and work earnestly towards achieving it. As a mentor, he had coached me and guided me in accomplishing 2 academic papers for publications. I had enhanced not only my learning skills, but most importantly, my logical thinking skills. These skills have most certainly served me well in my academic journey and in my work.

Dr. Jenson is a driven and dedicated educator who never fails to inspire students like myself. He has a ceaseless attitude towards learning, and while learned he continues to exhibit humility. Such qualities make him a great mentor, not just within the boundaries of the classroom but beyond. Dr. Jenson is one who is generous with sharing his experiences and would patiently offer advice to those who approach him. I had the opportunity to work with him on a research paper previously and through that experience, I was impressed by his command of knowledge, his passion, and dedication. He is truly an asset to his employers and to the people around him.

I have had the privilege of learning under Dr Goh for a company-sponsored Systems Thinking course in 2021. One could sense his deep passion and expertise on the specially curated course as he brought us through two enriching days of knowledge and skill acquisition.

I know that I truly enjoyed learning and found the contents extremely useful when I reviewed the notes immediately after the course ended – Drawing connections from deriving causal loops for an individual developmental area. Thank you Dr Goh for the effective teaching. =)

Jenson conducted the course in systems thinking. His class was very well organised and his delivery was engaging. He demonstrated a clear understanding of the subject matter and good general knowledge as he engaged with us in discussions in other topics with the attendees in class. He is truly committed to his craft and shows great interest in his students

I have had the honour last semester to be part of Dr. Jenson’s class on LEGO Serious Play.

His passion and dedication towards teaching is manifested through the way he conducts his lessons. There were never dull periods in his lessons. Given the nature of LEGO Serious Play sessions, he nurtured a safe space where fellow classmates and I were highly encouraged to speak up and share whilst he lent his undivided attention to each speaker.

Dr Jenson’s care and concern towards his students extend beyond the confines of the classroom pe se with his invaluable advice pertaining to career and even life in general. He is a genuine educator with a warm, approachable disposition. He is a true inspiration to many and I am honoured to have met him as an educator.

I was in Professor Jenson’s Systems Dynamics class when I was a Year 2 Student and he was an incredibly engaging and passionate educator. Apart from making lessons a fun, interactive and conducive environment to engage in collaborative learning, he goes beyond his role as an educator to care about his students’ welfare. A humble teacher who strives for continuous learning and is not afraid to be a student, it has been a great experience to have once been taught by him.

Jenson is one of the most open and knowledgeable professors I know. I had the privilege of taking two modules under Jenson. I have learnt a great deal about applying concepts of systems thinking on sustainability issues that he is truly passionate in. He works diligently to ensure that the class is engaging, supportive and fun for the students. To further refine his skills as an educator, he takes on the role of a learner by constantly seeking feedback from the class. He also ensures that students improve their critical and creative thinking skills through encouraging constant self-reflection: an important life skill. He makes an effort to build rapport with his students and is always looking out for the well-being of his students. With an exceptional blend of knowledge and soft skills, he is an outstanding educator. I am glad to have the opportunity of being under the tutelage of Jenson and am proud to call him a friend.

I had a privilege of working with Dr Jenson, as he facilitated a series of dynamic and contextualised training on Systems Thinking for my organisation then. Through our interactions, I came to know Dr Jenson as a highly approachable individual who has a wealth of knowledge and yet is humble and ground in nature.

During the System Thinking sessions, he was able to contextualise the knowledge and put the learners’ understanding to practice. This created a learning environment that encouraged learning. With his patient approach, I would highly recommend Dr Jenson for any training related to Systems Thinking.

I was given the opportunity to take a module under Dr Jenson which explores the food waste issue in Singapore’s context. Throughout the classes, even though he taught the modules well, he took time and effort to reflect upon each class, asking for our feedback, and wanting to keep improving as an educator. Dr Jenson is also willing to explore different methods to teach, introducing us to Lego Serious Play, a method to creatively look outside the box while honing our presentation skills at the same time. He was one of the most caring professors in NUS as well, keeping in touch with his students even after the module was over, sharing nuggets of wisdom which he has accumulated over the years. Outside of the module, Dr Jenson was also my Residential Fellow, and his caring side showed through. He was more than willing to lend a listening ear when we had troubles, be it academics or personal issues. He also takes part in our house activities whenever he has the time, forging strong relationships with us, not as someone on a pedestal, but as a friend. I am glad to have the opportunity to meet and work with him, and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Jenson is an exemplary professional. He is genuinely focused on finding ways to develop innovative learning for his students to ensure that they maximise their potential. As a colleague, Jenson’s willingness to collaborate and share best practices is inspiring. His circle of influence is ever-expanding, built on trust and expertise.

Jenson is someone I know who is very dedicated to learning. He has a humble personality where he learns from anyone of any age as long as he sees value in them. I especially like to commend on his passion in life. Someone full of passion is always the kind of person you want to work with, I am very proud to have him as a senior in life and someone I can call friend despite his high accreditation and great influence in his current position as a lecturer.

Jenson is deeply passionate to transform the hearts and minds of his learners. I have worked with him in the SG75 engagements for more than 100 students. His passion and commitment is admirable. I am impressed and inspired by his heart to serve his learners, communities and His generosity to share his knowledge and experiences to all.
